    Plum Sour

Simple ingredients with bold, balanced flavors.

    • 3 plum wedges
    • 2 ounces Fresh Sour
    • 2 ounces bourbon
    • Splash of pasteurized egg white (look for small cartons of pasteurized egg white in the dairy section)
    • Peach bitters

In a mixing glass, muddle plums, Fresh Sour, and bourbon until well combined. Add egg white. Add crushed ice to tall glass. Set aside. Add ice to tin and shake cocktail. Strain over crushed ice into tall glass. Top with 3 drops of peach bitters.

In his 1862 book How to mix drinks, Jerry Thomas describes sours as drinks made with brandy. Today, a sour is a mixed drink with a base spirit, lemon or lime juice, and a sweetener.
