  • Flavored syrups: Flavored syrups are easy to make and can enhance the classics with savory herbs and sweetness. Some syrups require adjust-ing the one-to-one ratio of sugar to water, but you can make almost any flavored syrup by adding your favorite flavor to the basic simple syrup recipe and following the directions below.

    Brown Sugar Syrup
    1 cup brown sugar
    1 cup water

    Cinnamon Syrup
    1 cup super fine sugar
    1 cup water
    4 cinnamon sticks (or one heaping bar spoon of ground cinnamon)

    Honey Syrup
    1 cup honey
    ½ cup water

    Honey Rosemary Syrup
    1 cup honey
    ½ cup water
    4 rosemary sprigs

    Lavender Syrup
    ½ cup super fine sugar
    ¼ cup organic dried lavender
    1 cup water

    Lemon Grass Syrup
    1 cup super fine sugar
    1 cup water
    1 lemon grass stalk (peeled and cut to fit into pan)
