On September 23rd and 24th, 2014 Alta Editions teamed up with CBS Local's Eat. See. Play. team to present two very special dinners created by Alta Editions chef author Jesse Schenker. The dinners took place at Jesse's acclaimed New York City restaurant, The Gander, and were attended by a diverse and fun-loving group of discerning diners.
Our hosts, underground dining maven Ronnie Rodriguez and the lovely and talented Cristina Cote, kept us entertained throughout the evening and Jesse and his wine director, Rick Pitcher, provided insight into dish preparation and wine pairings respectively. What follows are the recipes for the dishes served on both evenings. We hope you'll try out some or all of these adventurous recipes and enjoy Jesse's delicious food in the comfort of your own home.
