Carmen Gonzalez opened her first restaurant in Puerto Rico when she was just nineteen years old. Her passion for cooking lead her to New York, where she worked at Barry Wine's famous The Quilted Giraffe. She went on to open a series of highly acclaimed eponymous restaurants and is now the host of a popular Spanish language cooking show that airs throughout Latin America.
Carmen's recipes stay true to her Puerto Rican heritage and her years working in the top kitchens of New York City.
They are featured in The Journey, Part Two, published by Alta Editions, which explores both the professional and personal journeys of four remarkable chefs.
